It is hard to believe I am thinking about Easter already. Valentine's Day was just this past week. Yet so was Ash Wednesday, which means Lent has begun. The countdown is on. Today I am going to share some simple Easter crafts with supplies from Dollar Tree. Both of the crafts are easy and great for kids. Plus they are very open ended so there is lots of room for creativity!!

Our first craft is easy for kids and very customizable. It uses Clear Plastic Terrariums. We loved using these for fairy gardens before. Now my first idea was to make a cross like a garden.

I used craft sticks to make a cross. We had short craft stick, but I could have cut one. I glued them with tacky glue and let them sit over night.

I used a bit of the brown modeling clay that I bought at the Dollar Tree store near me on the bottom of the terrarium and then stuck the cross in. Well I had to cut the length to fit the cross in. I also stuck some flowers in the clay (from my other craft). I also cut a piece of scrap purple felt to go around the cross.
Now I just need to tie a nice ribbon on it and hang it up. I love how it came out. What do you think? Another idea that I had for these were using these Ceramic Easter Paint Kits. I got the duck for Hazel, but she hasn't painted it yet.

Once she paints it we will use the blue clay in the terrarium and have a fun decoration. I love the bunny one as well.

Our next craft is perfect for an Easter party or spring party. Or even for a photo with the Easter Bunny event. It is making a fun Easter/spring themed frame for your favorite Easter photo. It uses the Plastic Frames. (I chose the 4 by 6", but there are other sizes!)

I found some decorative tape and some pretty spring flowers.  I decided to do a side border with the tape, but you could do a stripe on each side as well and put flowers in the corners or really however you envision it.

I pulled the flowers off their stems and used the tacky glue to glue them to the frame.

Now we have a nice frame waiting for a photo of Hazel in her Easter dress. Isn't it perfect?

I hope you will share some pictures if you try the crafts. I would love to see them!!
